Avantra helps dental professionals and authorized clinic staff document consultations, capture clinical media, and use AI-assisted analysis through our website and mobile applications.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store, and protect your information when you use Avantra. It applies to Avantra AI and related services we provide for that product.

Our AI does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about individuals without meaningful human review by you or your clinic.

Automated Decision-Making

Some recommendations within Avantra are generated automatically using machine learning algorithms.

These automated processes are used solely to:

• Assist with clinical documentation
• Suggest transcriptions, summaries, and analysis drafts
• Improve documentation efficiency

Users may choose whether to follow, edit, or discard AI-generated recommendations. Final clinical responsibility remains with the licensed professional and their clinic.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with trusted service providers that support:

• AI transcription and analysis
• Analytics

• Email communications
• Error monitoring and diagnostics

These providers are contractually required to protect your information and may use it only to provide services to us.

When you use AI features, relevant consultation content may be processed by third-party AI providers (including OpenAI and Amazon Web Services / Amazon Bedrock) solely to return results to you. Based on applicable business/API terms for those providers, data submitted through their APIs is not used to train their models.

Before patient-related data is sent to third-party AI services, the mobile App asks for your explicit consent. You may withdraw that consent later in Profile > Privacy & AI Data Use. If you withdraw consent, AI-powered transcription and analysis features will stop sending data to those providers.

We may also disclose information when required by law.

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

Some information may be retained where required by law, for fraud prevention and security, or where your clinic remains responsible for keeping patient records.

Verified requests are generally completed within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Avantra is intended for dental professionals and clinic staff. It is not directed to children as Users, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children as Users.

Where a User records information about a minor patient, the User and their clinic are responsible for obtaining any consent required from a parent or legal guardian.

We may use cookies and similar technologies to:
